I had a BankWest Platinum M/Card in my own name last year, account was closed 14 months ago. My wife has an active Platinum M/Card and I am the additional cardholder on that account.

Would I qualify for the bonus Qantas points offer given the following eligibility criteria as stated by BankWest?

“Note that this offer is only available to new Bankwest Qantas Platinum Mastercard customers”

Thanks

Hi Todd,

According to the terms and conditions the offer is available “to new Bankwest Qantas Platinum or World Mastercard customers who have not opened a Bankwest Qantas Mastercard in the last 24 months.”

I’m not sure if the specific card you had meets that criteria. I suggest contacting Bankwest directly to clarify.

Hi Grace,

It’s possible the offer has changed. You should check with Bankwest to confirm. Currently it’s 80,000 bonus Qantas Points if you spend $7,500 in the first 90 days and hold the card for 15 months.

If you applied and got the card approved under a different offer, before that offer’s expiry date, you could ask Bankwest if it will honour the original offer. It never hurts to ask.

Hi,

Does this Complimentary Overseas Travel insurance apply to my kids travelling with me or just for me?

Thank you!

Hi Carmen,

According to your PDS, if you meet all of the eligibility criteria, then your spouse and/ or accompanied child/children are automatically eligible for Complimentary Overseas Travel Insurance as long as each of them travels with you on the same itinerary for the entire journey.

Hope this helps!

Hello,

Whats the income range to apply for this card?

Hi Lamia, Bankwest’s Target Market Determination (TMD) for this product doesn’t list a specific income range, but says that cardholders would typically apply for a credit limit above $3,000, would be comfortable paying higher fees and rates and wouldn’t expect to carry a balance for an extended period. Hope that helps.
