Hi Dianne,
Eligible purchases are all purchases made on the card except for the following:
– Cash advances
– Balance Transfers
– Interest charges
– Credit fees and charges
– Bank fees and charges
– Transactions Bankwest decide are disputed due to being fraudulent or which involve an abuse of your card
– Foreign exchange purchases
– Travellers cheques
– All purchases for gaming or gambling transactions including gambling chip purchases and online gambling purchases
– BPAY payments ie. bill payments and other payments made through the BPAY Electronic Payments Scheme
– Government charges (other than GST payable in connection with the purchase of goods and services on which you earn Qantas Points)
– Credit card protection insurance
– Business Related Expenses
– Any other transactions the bank “reasonably determine from time to time should be excluded”
This list comes from the terms and conditions PDF for the credit card which you can find here.
Hope this helps,

is the annual fee including the annual qantas rewards program fee?

Hi Angela,
This card doesn’t have an annual Qantas Rewards Program Fee. So the annual fee listed is what you’d pay for the account each year. I hope this helps.

Hi
How is the maximum credit limit determined? and what is the maximum credit limit if there is one?
thanks
Irene

Hi Irene,
The credit limit is determined based on details provided when you apply for a credit card, including your income, expenses and credit report/score. All lenders in Australia have to assess the applicant’s ability to repay the total credit limit, with interest, over a 3-year period as part of Australia’s responsible lending requirements. Bankwest doesn’t list a specific maximum limit available for this card but Finder does have a guide about how to estimate or calculate a credit limit that may be suitable for you. I hope this helps.

Hi,
Will I receive Qantas FF points when paying utilities such as electricity, water, gas, council rates and Foxtel with my Qantas platinum credit card?
Cheers,
John

Hi John,
Thank you for getting in touch with Finder.
You may earn QFF points on paying utilities with your Bankwest Qantas Platinum Mastercard so long that you’re not processing the payment via BPay. BPAY payments like bill payments and other payments made through the BPAY are exmpeted to earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points.
I hope this helps.
Thank you and have a wonderful day!
Cheers,
Jeni

When buying a return overs airline tick, can the costs of the required minimum of $500 using the bankwest qantas platinum card be shared using another non bank west card?

March 22, 2018
Hi James!
Thanks for your message.
Since the minimum cost is under the terms and conditions of Bankwest Qantas Platinum card, the cost cannot be shared by a non-Bankwest card.
Hope this helps!
Best regards,
Nikki

Hi, I’m trying to find the details on eligible purchases.
I want to take my card to California. The 0% foreign transaction fee is a key feature but possibly not worth it if what I in supermarkets, restaurants and fuel etc is not considered eligible. Can you direct me please?
Thank you
