Does the card cover Cruise travel insurance ?

Hi Rose,

According to the credit card insurance document currently available on Bankwest’s website (effective 22 August 2022), some insurance cover is available if you’re on a cruise. This includes emergency medical and hospital expenses for cruises in Australian waters or internationally.

As with any insurance, there are different requirements and exclusions. You can view the pdf of the current policy document to check specific details. Alternatively, call Bankwest on 13 17 19 or Cover-More (the insurance provider) on 1300 468 340. I hope that helps.

Hello Jeremy,

Thank you for your comment.

According to the LoungeKey airport lounge program, the guests travelling with you may also enjoy lounge entry, depending on the airport lounge.

Important changes (June 2017)

Please note that effective 15 June 2017, Bankwest cardholders can enjoy unlimited airport lounge visits via LoungeKey.

How come I can’t find the above information on the Bankwest’s official website? Is it for all Bankwest card holder or only the More World MasterCard?

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for your questions.

The annual fee is normally charged upon account activation and is payable by the first credit card bill.

The 80,000 introductory bonus offer is only available to new Bankwest More MasterCard customers, subject to other eligibility criteria. You are not eligible for this offer if:

(1) you are upgrading or changing your existing Bankwest credit card to a Bankwest World MasterCard

(2) you already have a Bankwest More MasterCard credit card

I hope this helps.

Cheers,

Anndy
