The Bank First Visa Classic credit card is one of the few cards that has an interest-free offer on both purchases and balance transfers. If you want to pay off an existing debt and make new purchases without paying any interest, this card could be right for you. It is also one of the few cards that features a 12.79% p.a. interest rate offer and charges no annual fee.

How to apply

You can apply for the Bank First Visa Classic credit card online, but you should check if you meet the eligibility criteria and have the necessary information before you start the application.

Eligibility criteria

  • Age. You must be at least 18 years of age to apply for a credit card in Australia.
  • Residency. You must be a current resident of Australia. You may also need to provide details of your citizenship or residency status to complete your application.

Card benefits

  • 0% p.a. interest for 6 months. Enjoy an introductory interest rate of 0% p.a. for 6 months on purchases and balance transfers when you apply by 31 December 2020 and make an eligible purchase by 29 January 2021. After this period, the variable interest rate of 12.79% p.a. will apply to any remaining balance.
  • No annual fee. The Bank First Visa Classic charges a $0 annual fee.

  • Interest rate. Outside of any promotions, the Bank First Visa Classic Credit Card charges a variable interest rate of 12.79% p.a., which applies to standard purchases, cash advances and balance transfers.
  • Up to 55 days interest-free on purchases. If you pay your account in full by the due date on each statement, you can enjoy an interest-free period of up to 55 days for new purchases. Interest-free days do not apply for cash advances and balance transfers.

    what is $500.00 limit

    does it mean you can spend $500.00 at one purchase

      The $500 amount is the lowest credit card limit that you can request. It is possible to apply for a higher credit card limit but not a lower one than this figure.
