Hi Adam,
There’s nothing in the terms and conditions for this card that relates to BPAY being excluded or included for payments. But most credit card (and business charge card) accounts don’t offer BPAY payments to other accounts.
American Express does offer eligible business card members (including people with this card) a service called AccessLine, which allows you to pay suppliers in Australia even if they don’t accept Amex cards. If you want to learn more about AccessLine, or have other questions about this card, you can call Amex on 139 323. Alternatively, you can check out Finder’s guide on how to pay bills with a credit card, including ways to earn points for some BPAY payments. I hope this helps.

Hi, I noticed that there is not interest charged if paid off by 51 days which I am sure will be fine but if it is not, what is the interest rate?

Hi Jo,
This is a charge card so the account is set up to be paid in full by the due date on each statement. If you wanted to pay off a portion of your balance over a longer period of time, this Amex card also offers a Flexible Payment Option (FPO). Interest charges do apply for FPO, and the rate is listed on account statements or available by contacting Amex. I hope this helps.

Hi, does this card allow you to pay via BSB/Account transfers so you can use it to pay for things such as rent/bills?

Hi Gia,
This could be possible by setting up American Express AccessLine – a service that allows you to make payments to merchants who don’t accept card payments and earn points in the process. The American Express Australia website has more details on AccessLine and how it works. I hope this helps.

Hi Rowan,
Unfortunately, this is a business card so it’s only available to business owners with a valid ABN, annual revenue of at least $75,000 and active GST registration. But Finder has a comparison guide on credit cards for retirees and pensioners, which also includes more details on the financial details needed to apply for different cards. I hope this helps.
