Hi Shammi,
I’m not sure what you mean. The offer is only available for new Amex customers so if you already have a card you won’t qualify.

Hi
My husand and I are 2 directors in our company. When we get this card, I assume I need to register it in our business name and get 2 cards. I know the initial Bonus points may go to just one person’s Quantas frequent flyer account but how about later spendings?
Can each spender on their own card earn points towards their quantas frequent flyer account?
Thanks.

Hi MMon,
You’d have one Qantas Business Rewards account, which is where the points would go. But you’re able to make unlimited points transfers to any personal Qantas Frequent Flyer account. So you’d have no problem dividing the points up between you.

Can I also use the card for personal expenses in addition to business? Would I lose eligibility to the card if I did so? And how would AMEX know what is a business vs personal expense? Is there an annual check to see if you are still ABN/GST registered? Eg if i were to retire in a few years?

Hi Marty,
You will need to provide evidence of your business income and expenses to get this card, but once you have it, you could make personal purchases. Amex are not likely to monitor business vs personal expenses. However making personal purchases with this card is not recommended because it would make tax time very complicated: you are not legally allowed to claim personal expenses as a business deduction, so putting personal expenses on your business card would create extra work at tax time trying to figure out which expenses can be claimed and which can’t. Your best bet may be to get a business card and a personal card to keep your spending seperate. Hope this helps!

Hi, im looking to get this card for my business.
I make most business payments through the WISE Payment app for international purchases. Would the money I’m depositing into WISE to make purchases be eligible to earn the bonus points?

Hi Steven,
When you make transfers to Wise using a credit card, it’s often treated as a cash advances by the bank, meaning they will charge you a cash advance fee and interest on the entire balance from the moment of the transfer. Cash advances are also not eligible to earn points. So, it’s unlikely you would earn points for any of these transactions, and it would cost you a lot in interest. You can learn more about these fees here.

Can you confirm if this card awards points for payments to the ATO for BAS and tax payments and if so at what rate per $ spent.

Hi Ian, You can earn points by paying your BAS or other tax bills with this card and the earn rate is 0.5 points per $1 spent. Note that the ATO also charges a 1.45% fee for payments by credit card. Check out our full guide to earning points when paying your taxes to learn more about how it all works. Hope this helps!
