Hi Chelle,
You don’t need to use the card every month to avoid fees.

Hi Jennifer,
The speed of the application process depends on so many factors and really depends on the bank. You’ll need to contact Bankwest directly about this.

Is it possible for myself and my wife to have 2 cards for the same account?

Hi Daniel,
Yes. You can apply to add an additional cardholder to the credit card account. Looking at Bankwest’s website you need to fill out and sign a PDF and post it to the bank.
The details can be found at the bottom of this page in the “common questions” section.

Are we still eligible for the 6 month offer if we had a Bankwest Card last year?

Sarah Megginson Finder
May 05, 2025
Hi Addie,
The terms and conditions state that you must be a “new Bankwest Zero Mastercard customer”, so if you’ve previously held this specific card, you are probably not eligible. If you have had a different Bankwest credit card, you may be eligible. Sometimes banks consider you to be a “new customer” if it’s been at least 12 months since you closed your account or at least 24 months since you applied for the card, so it might be worth calling them to discuss your specific situation. Hope this helps!

Do you allow self employed people to get a credit card?

Sarah Megginson Finder
May 02, 2025
Hi Dave,
We’re a review and comparison site, we don’t represent Bankwest directly so we can’t offer customer service. But generally speaking, most banks will consider a self-employed borrower provided you have at least 2-years worth of financial documents/tax returns. Your best bet is to call them directly to clarify. Hope this helps!
