How to apply

If you've decided the American Express Qantas Business Rewards card is the right account for your business, you can apply by clicking through the secure application form. For quicker processing, make sure you meet the following eligibility criteria and have all the relevant details and documents on hand:

Eligibility criteria

Minimum income. Your business must have an annual revenue of at least $75,000.
New card member. To be eligible for the introductory offer, you cannot currently hold or have held an American Express card in the last 18 months.

Residency. You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
Business details. You must have a valid ABN (Australian Business Number) and your business must be registered for GST.
Age. You must be at least 18 years old to apply.
Credit history. You must have a good credit history and no payment defaults.

Required documents

Personal details. You will need to provide personal information including your full name, contact number and email address. You'll also need to provide the details of your personal pre-tax income.
Business details. This includes your business name, contact details and business financial information.
Qantas Business Rewards details. You will need to provide the details of your Qantas Business Rewards membership to earn points with this card. If you're not already a member, this card offers complimentary membership that saves you $89.50 on the usual joining fee.

Apply as a new Amex card member through the link on Finder by 01 September 2026, get approved and spend $6,000 on eligible purchases within the first 3 months from card approval to earn 190,000 bonus Qantas Points plus $200 in your Qantas Business Rewards Travel Fund (terms and conditions apply). The points will be credited to your Qantas Business Rewards account within 8 to 10 weeks of meeting the requirements, while the $200 credit will be issued by Qantas into the Card Member's Qantas Business Rewards Travel Fund up to 10 weeks after the bonus Qantas Points have been awarded. The $200 Travel Fund will only be awarded once per ABN.
Qantas Points per $1 spent. You'll earn 1.25 Qantas Points per $1 spent on everyday purchases, 2 points per $1 spent on Qantas products and services plus 2 bonus points on eligible Qantas flights once flown and 0.5 points per $1 spent on utilities, non-American Express insurance policies and with government bodies. After the first 500,000 points earned on this card in a calendar year, the earn rate for everyday business spending goes to 0.75 points per $1 spent. Introductory bonus points don't count towards this and the other earn rates on the card remain the same. With this card you also earn 0.5 points for every dollar spent via the ATO when making tax payments. This can earn you a lot of points if you have a large business tax bill. Just keep in mind there's a 1.45% card transaction fee when paying with an Amex card.

$200 Travel Fund Bonus. New and existing Qantas Business Rewards Level 3 Members can get a $200 bonus paid to their Qantas Business Rewards Travel Fund. Existing card members at Level 3 will get $200 issued to the business's Qantas Business Rewards Travel Fund within 4 weeks of 17 June 2026, and then every 12 months thereafter. For new Qantas Business Rewards Members who join the program at Level 3, or who move to Level 3 on or after 17 June 2026, the $200 Travel Fund bonus will be deposited at the end of the month in which Level 3 was attained, and then every 12 months after that. Terms and conditions apply.
Complimentary Qantas Business Rewards membership. If you're not a member of Qantas Business Rewards, you can save on the usual $89.50 joining fee with this card.
Domestic Qantas Club lounge invitations. To claim the 2 domestic complimentary Qantas Club lounge invitations each anniversary year, you'll need to register your Qantas Frequent Flyer number with your American Express Qantas Business Rewards card, then use it to make an eligible Qantas purchase during your membership year. This could include Qantas flights with a QF flight number, Qantas Frequent Flyer and Qantas Business Rewards membership fees or Qantas Club joining or membership fees. The lounge invitations will be assigned to the account within 2 weeks of meeting this spend requirement. You can then access them via your Qantas Frequent Flyer account or the Qantas App to link them with an eligible flight booking prior to your departure.
Complimentary travel insurance. Enjoy complimentary domestic and international travel insurance for you, your spouse, eligible dependents and additional employee card members when your American Express Qantas Business Rewards Card is used to pay for a return trip. Mobile payments. You can add this card to Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay, which allows you to make payments directly from your compatible mobile phone or device.
Accounting features and services. This card offers integration with MYOB, which allows you to set up an automatic data feed of your card transactions. You can also keep track of expenses, statements and account details through your American Express account.

Rates & fees

Annual fee. This card charges an annual fee of $450.
Additional cards. You can request up to 99 additional cards at no extra cost.

Repayments. This is a charge card, so the balance must be paid in full by the due date on each statement.
Interest-free period. This card offers up to 51 days interest-free for each statement period. Note that the number of interest-free days will depend on when in your statement cycle each purchase is made. As an example, a transaction made on the first day of your statement period would be interest-free for the full 51 days, while a transaction on the second day would get 50 days interest-free, and one made on day 50 of your statement cycle would be interest-free for one day only.
Flexible Payment Option. Instead of paying off your balance in full each statement period, you can choose to pay off a portion of it over time with the Flexible Payment Option (subject to your Flexible Payment Option limit). This gives you a bit more flexibility, but you will get charged interest if you don't pay your closing balance in full by the due date each month. I have 2 separate businesses. Can I apply for 2 separate cards and get the benefit of points in each business? Costs would obviously apply for each respective business.

Yes, you can apply for separate American Express Business Cards for 2 distinct legal entities or ABNs. You will earn points on each respective card based on that business’s spending and annual fees will apply to each card account separately. Hope this helps.

My husand and I are 2 directors in our company. When we get this card, I assume I need to register it in our business name and get 2 cards. I know the initial Bonus points may go to just one person’s Quantas frequent flyer account but how about later spendings?

Can each spender on their own card earn points towards their quantas frequent flyer account?

You’d have one Qantas Business Rewards account, which is where the points would go. But you’re able to make unlimited points transfers to any personal Qantas Frequent Flyer account. So you’d have no problem dividing the points up between you.
