"I'm a keen points hunter but I also hate paying huge annual credit card fees, so when I looked for a credit card, these are two things I consider. St George Amplify Rewards Platinum ticked both my boxes because their annual card fee is on the lower side, and their earn rate is high."

Hi Simon,
St. George Amplify Points can’t be directly used to “cash out” or credit back individual purchases from your statement automatically. However, they are highly flexible and can be redeemed for e-gift cards, cash-equivalent rewards, or by transferring to partners like Everyday Rewards to save on groceries, providing a similar effect to a credit. Hope this helps!

Hi Stephen,
Cash advances are generally set as a maximum of $2,000 per day. Spending limits doing usually apply, but there may be a limit of $5,000 for transfers out of your credit card balance, depending on your personal banking settings.

What is the current conversion of rewards points to both Velocity frequent flyer points and qantas frequent flyer points respectively?

Hi Kaori,
2 Amplify Points convert to 1 Velocity Point. You can’t transfer Amplify Points to Qantas Points. You have to switch from the Amplify Rewards program to Amplify Qantas (or get an Amplify Qantas card to earn Qantas Points directly).

Hello
Why do you have to have an employer to have an income? What if the income threshold is exceeded with investments, savings, interest and dividends?

Hi Chris,
Thanks for your question.
If you don’t have an employer and would like to apply for this card as self-employed, St. George may consider your application, but you have to provide a Notice of Assessment. If you’ve been self-employed for less than a year, you won’t be able to apply.
Cheers,
Anndy

Hi!
Could we choose the 30,000 bonus point between Qantas reward program or Amplify reward program when we spent $2500 for the first 90 days after we applied for the card?

Hi Anna.
Thank you for your inquiry.
You can choose between Amplify Rewards or Qantas Rewards with the St.George Amplify Platinum credit card as long as you spend $2,500 in eligible purchases and if your card application is approved before January 4, 2017.
Cheers,
Jason

Can Amplify Points be used to credit back my individual purchases from my statement?
Or can they only be saved up and Redeemed within the online Amplify shopping portal?
