You can apply for a Zip account online in just a few minutes. Before you start, make sure you meet the eligibility requirements and have the necessary documents and information ready:

Eligibility criteria

Residency. You must be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident.
Age. You must be at least 18 years of age.

Credit history. You must have a good credit score and history. You can get your credit score and a comprehensive credit report for free through Finder.
Credit limit. You must indicate the maximum credit limit you'd like to apply for within the $2,000 to $20,000 range.

Rates & fees

Monthly fee. Zip Plus charges a $9.95 monthly account fee, which is waived if your balance is cleared by the end of the month.

Minimum repayments. Your minimum monthly repayment is $25 or 2% of your closing balance, whichever is greater. If your closing balance is less than $25, your minimum repayment is simply your total closing balance. You can choose to repay weekly, fortnightly, or monthly.
Late payment fee. A $15 fee applies if the minimum payment isn't made within 7 days of the due date.
