In the 2024-2025 financial year, the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) received 819 complaints in relation to AAI's home building insurance and 162 in relation to its home contents insurance. While the insurer is very large, these figures are higher than many other insurers of the same size, including QBE, which received a combined 738 complaints for its home and contents cover.
