This account has a $6 monthly account keeping fee, which is higher than most other transaction accounts. It can be waived if you’re under 23 or if you deposit $2,000 a month (such as your salary, for example).
It comes with a Visa Debit Card which you can use to make unlimited free EFTPOS, Internet or mobile banking transactions in Australia, and you can make free ATM withdrawals at Big Four ATMs in Australia too. There is, however, a $5 withdrawal fee when using overseas ATMs as well as a 3% international transaction fee when making overseas purchases with the debit card. If you’re looking for a card to take when travelling, there’s a few cards available that waive these fees.
This account offers lots of different ways to pay, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, Fitbit Pay and Garmin Pay. You can also set up a PayID and receive money instantly from friends and family without needing to use your BSB and Account Number.
