By the end of 2025, over 10 million homes and businesses currently on fibre-to-the-node (FTTN) or fibre-to-the-curb (FTTC) will get upgraded to FTTP.
To trigger the upgrade, you'll need to sign up for an NBN 100 plan or faster. Just head to NBN Co's website, enter your address, and check if you're eligible.
"When our house became eligible for the fibre upgrade, I immediately took it up. We consistently get download speeds of over 250Mbps."
NBN 250 is the second fastest NBN speed tier, behind NBN 1000. It offers download speeds of up to 250Mbps and upload speeds of up to 25Mbps.
The actual speeds you get will depend on the provider you sign up with and what they've advertised as their typical evening speed.
These are speeds your plan can achieve during the busy hours of the day (7-11pm).
You might see 1 or 2 providers not showing typical evening speed due to a lack of data to report on.
