Dodo Energy review: Our verdict

Dodo Energy offers fairly competitive rates across Australia, ranging from 18% to 3% less than the reference price. Prices are lowest in Queensland, and highest in South Australia.

Dodo keeps it simple with only a single gas and electricity plan in each state, and no conditional discounts.

If you bundle your internet plan with Dodo electricity and/or gas, you'll receive a $5-$10 monthly discount on your internet bill.

What's the catch?

  • Dodo has one of the most expensive GreenPower rates on the market (though it does at least offer GreenPower)

Dodo Energy never locks you into a contract on any of its plans, so you're able to switch providers whenever you want.

Important notes: The estimated price we show by default is based on a single rate tariff. On your bill this might be known as a "peak tariff", "peak only" or an "anytime tariff". There are other tariff types available to customers and you may need to contact your provider if you are on these tariffs:

  • Single rate with a controlled load
  • Time of use
  • Time of use with a controlled load

The price estimate should not be used as an official quote, but an indication of what your costs may be on the plan. It varies based on whether you provide us with your bill details. You can learn more here.

      Hi Sara,

      Thanks for getting in touch!

Choosing a provider for energy depends on where you are located. As per Dodo, their operating hours are from 10 am-7 pm only. To find out other providers’ operating hours, you must first check the providers offering gas and electricity in your state. Once you have decided which one to go for, you can go to their website’s contact page and you’ll be able to find their operating hours. Hope this helps!

      Best,
      Nikki

How much would it cost to set up wifi, electricity and gas within your company with a 12 month contract?

      ShirleyJune 28, 2016Staff

      Hi Jess,

      Thanks for your question.

Since this is a home bundle, you will need to get in touch with Dodo directly to ask for a quote.

Dodo usually offers electricity and gas separately to it’s broadband.
