Our verdict: Powershop may be well-suited to those that like to track their energy usage as it offers a handy mobile app. However, its prices aren't the cheapest around.
Powershop, which is now owned by Shell Energy Australia, is available to energy consumers in NSW, VIC, QLD and SA.
It's rates aren't the cheapest around so you'll be better off comparing all options available to your household before making a decision about Powershop.
The good thing is that Powershop offers a user-friendly mobile app. This will allow you to track your daily energy usage or solar export, and monitor your power bills.
There's no lock-in contract or exit fees involved, so you can always see if Powershop's approach to energy works for you.

I was able to easily compare the prices for existing rates to what was offered on the site. I ended up going with PowerShop, not as they were the cheapest, but I like the use of the app and to be able to guage where we are at during the month. It also had the Finder Award for 2023.
