Powershop review

Powershop, which is now owned by Shell Energy Australia, is available to energy consumers in NSW, VIC, QLD and SA.

It's rates aren't the cheapest around so you'll be better off comparing all options available to your household before making a decision about Powershop.

The good thing is that Powershop offers a user-friendly mobile app. This will allow you to track your daily energy usage or solar export, and monitor your power bills.

There's no lock-in contract or exit fees involved, so you can always see if Powershop's approach to energy works for you.

Pros

  • Handy mobile app to track usage and pay bills
  • Free smart meter for customers

Cons

  • Now owned buy Shell and no longer the greenest energy provider around
