Samsung phone plans
Grab the latest Samsung phones and pay them off over time when you pair them up with a Telstra, Vodafone or Optus mobile plan.
You can pick up a brand new Samsung phone on a plan from Telstra, Optus, Vodafone or one of the other smaller providers.
Remember: The price of the phone doesn't change no matter which provider you choose. It's the plan that'll affect the cost of your monthly mobile bill.

Compare Samsung S21 plans
While the S22 is better in a number of ways, the S21 range still holds up pretty well. The S21 Ultra, in particular, has a larger screen as well as high-quality cameras on the front and back.
You can adjust the plans visible below with the "filter results" button or switch to the S21+ or S21 Ultra using the tabs.
Compare Samsung Note 20 plans
With no Note 21 series announced or available, the Note 20 is your best bet for a larger phone that comes with its own stylus.
The Note 20 5G model is shown by default, but you can use the "filter results" button to adjust the plans shown and look for other models like the Note 20 Ultra or Note 20 4G.
What is the best Samsung phone plan?
The best Samsung plan will largely depend on what model you're after plus the provider. Two main factors determine the cost:
- The phone price itself, which is the same for all providers.
- The mobile plan price, which can change drastically between providers.
While Telstra and Optus will let you change the plan you're on, Vodafone will charge you a "Plan Transfer Fee" if you decide to get a cheaper mobile plan while tied to your contract.
Here's a quick summary of what's on offer from the 3 major providers:
Telstra Samsung plans
Telstra lets you choose between a 12- or 24-month repayment period when you pair a Samsung phone with one of its upfront mobile plans. Apart from being Australia's largest mobile network, the main features of its plans include the following:
- 40GB for $55 per month up to 180GB for $115 per month
- "Unlimited" data lets you keep browsing at a max of 1.5Mbps past your data cap
- Telstra 5G network access on all but the cheapest plan
- Telstra data sharing between up to 10 plans on the same account
- Data-free streaming of Apple Music and some live sport games
You can cancel your phone plan at any time, but you'll be required to pay off the full remaining value of your handset before you leave.
Vodafone Samsung plans
As a large provider, Vodafone also has all the latest iPhone and Samsung models (plus a few others) available on a 12-, 24- or 36-month contract.
The main advantage you get with Vodafone is access to its cheaper phone plans so your monthly bill will be a bit cheaper with Vodafone compared to another big provider. Here's what you get when you pair a handset with one of its Vodafone Infinite plans:
- 10GB for $40 per month up to 150GB for $120 per month
- "Unlimited" data lets you keep browsing past your limit, with a capped download speed that depends on the plan (from 2-25Mbps)
- Vodafone 5G network access on all plans
- 30 Day Network Satisfaction Guarantee offers a full refund if you change your mind within 30 days
You're allowed to cancel your plan at any time by paying the rest of what you owe on your handset.
Optus Samsung plans
Optus has all the newest handsets available, giving you the choice between 12-, 24- or 36-month contracts when you pair them with an Optus Choice mobile plan.
With Optus, you can expect the following:
- 20GB for $45 per month up to 240GB for $85 per month
- "Unlimited" data that lets you keep using the Internet past your data cap, up to a maximum of 1.5Mbps
- Optus 5G network access on all plans
- Optus data sharing between plans on the same account
- Free Optus Sport subscription
Unfortunately, Optus's Samsung plans aren't currently available to view on Finder, so you'll need to head to its website to find the latest details.

Does the Samsung J1 Prime have a blue tick?
Hi Althea,
Thanks for your comment.
Upon checking, Samsung J1 Prime is not part of the Blue Tick Telstra phones for the bush. If you wish, please check our list of Blue Tick Telstra phones. It should give you a better way to compare your options.
I hope this helps.

just went with dodo for my samsung s mobile .why cant i get any internet. signal there not connecting. was working well with virgin??
Hi Diane,
You’ve come through to finder.com.au. I would recommend visiting Settings > Wireless & Networks > More and selecting Mobile networks. Then make sure Optus 4G is selected as the preferred network. If it is, try resetting your handset. If you are still experiencing issues with your mobile service, I would recommend contacting Dodo technical support.
Thanks,
Brodie
