The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 was unveiled on 22 July 2026 alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip 8.
It then hit shelves on 14 August.
The phone was then available on shelves from 14 August.
Optus Galaxy Z Fold 8 plans
You'll need to pair your Galaxy Z Fold 8 repayment contract with a SIM-only plan from Optus over 12, 24 or 36 months.

- Endless data. Your speeds will be capped at 1.5Mbps once you've used up your data allowance
- Unlimited international calls and texts to 35 selected destinations (on its Medium plan and above)
- Up to 10% in savings when you bundle 3 or more subscriptions via Optus SubHub or up to $20 every month on streaming when you sign up to the Large Choice Plus plan
- Option to sign up via an eSIM
- $5 for 5GB per day roaming add-on available to use in 150+ Zone 1 destinations
Vodafone Galaxy Z Fold 8 plans and deals
Vodafone will also let you pay off the cost of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 over 12, 24 or 36 months when you pair it with one of its SIM-only plans.
Features include:
- No excess charges. Your speeds will be capped at 2Mbps once you've used up your data allowance
- Unlimited international texts on all plans
- Unlimited international minutes to Zone 1 countries and 300 minutes to Zone 2 countries on the medium and large SIM-only plans
- $5 a day roaming to use your regular SIM-only plan overseas
- Option to sign up via an eSIM
Telstra Galaxy Z Fold 8 plans and deals
You can either buy the phone outright if you're an existing Telstra customer or get the Galaxy Z Fold 8 on a repayment plan over 12, 24 or 36 months.
You'll also get the following perks on its SIM-only plan:
- Access to the largest 4G and 5G networks in Australia
- No excess data charges. Your speeds will be capped at 1.5Mbps once you've used up your data allowance
- Unlimited international texts to all countries and at least 30 minutes of free calls
