Pay as little as $25 a month for Vodafone's home Internet plan.

Starting now, and for 1 week only, Vodafone is slashing the price of its 4G and 5G home Internet plans by a massive 50% in the spirit of Black Friday.

To sweeten the deaal even further, it's also giving away the FIRST MONTH FREE.

If you've been looking for an NBN alternative for a while, now might be the time to take the plunge.

Here's what you'll end up paying after the free month if you sign up by 15 January.

Vodafone's Black Friday 4G home Internet deal

Vodafone's 4G home Internet plan normally costs $60 a month for unlimited data and speeds up to 20Mbps.

Instead, you'll pay $30 per month for the first 12 months if you sign up this week.

If you're an existing Vodafone mobile customer, you get a further $5 a month off. That's $25 per month or $300 for the full year.

You also get a 4G modem for $0 when you stay connected for 24 months.

If you leave early you'll need to pay $7.50 a month for each remaining month. The maximum modem cost is $180.

Good to know. The 4G home Internet plan is similar to NBN 25. Up to 20Mbps speeds are good for a 1-3-person household browsing online, streaming standard content and using social media.

Vodafone's Black Friday 5G home Internet deals

Both of Vodafone's Premium 5G home Internet and Ultimate 5G home Internet plans are half off. Just make sure your area is covered by 5G before signing up.

Here's what you can expect to pay for varying speeds:

Premium 5G home Internet

  • First month is free.
  • From $40 a month for the first 12 months, then $75 a month. The price goes down by $5 a month for existing Vodafone mobile customers.
  • Unlimited data at speeds up to 100Mbps.
  • Free modem if you stay connected for 24 months.

Ultimate 5G home Internet

  • First month is free.
  • Pay $45 a month for the first 12 months, then $85 a month. The cost again goes down by an additional $5 a month for existing Vodafone mobile customers.
  • Unlimited data at maximum 5G speeds.
  • Free modem if you stay connected for 24 months.

Both plans are great for streaming 4K and HD videos, downloading large files, social media and casual online gaming.

Are the deals worth it?

Kieren Cooney, Group Executive Consumer at Vodafone, believes "these Home Internet offers could be the most competitive that Australia has ever seen".

We reckon that's likely true – these are some of the cheapest prices we've seen for their respective speeds.

Plus, you can try them out for free for the first month so if you're keen, hurry and sign up by 30 November before the deals expire.
