IMB Christmas Club

  • Alison Banney's headshot

Summary

Take the worry out of Christmas spending with an account that makes it easy to save up all year for it.

This account is designed to help cover your Christmas expenses. You pay no account or transaction fees and earn bonus interest if you don't spend any money in the account until November or December.

The downside is you can't access the money before then. And you could earn more interest somewhere else, if you have the discipline to avoid spending the money before the festive season.

Pros

  • Earn bonus interest for regularly saving
  • Prepare for Christmas
  • No monthly account keeping fees

Cons

  • Can only access during November and December

How the Finder Score helps you find a better savings account

The Finder Score is a simple score out of 10. The higher a savings account's score, the better we think it is for the average customer.

We score each savings account in our database of hundreds based on a data-driven methodology with 2 main criteria: Does the account offer a high interest rate? And is it easy for savers to actually earn that rate?
