Our verdict

Pay no account keeping fees, no overseas ATM fees and no foreign transaction fees plus see your other bank accounts, super and investments all within your ubank app.

The first thing to note is that this transaction account comes with a linked Save Account . You’ll earn bonus interest rate on your Save balance when you deposit $200 a month into either account. The good thing about this account is you can make withdrawals from your Save account when needed and still be eligible for bonus interest.

The Spend account is great for everyday use in Australia, and as a fee-free travel money option when you’re overseas. It’s one of only a handful of accounts that charges no account keeping fees, no overseas ATM withdrawal fees and no international transaction fees.

You can link the Visa Debit Card to Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay to pay with your phone instead of your card. The ubank mobile app allows you to link your other bank accounts, super fund and investment accounts

Hi

How many fee free accounts can I open? I currently have different accounts for different expenses (Bills, mortgage, christmas etc) and wondering if I can do the same with Ubank?

Hi, I am considering to open a new bank account with you and get the $ 40 $ Bonus.

How much money do I have to deposit?

What type of account would that be?

Thanks very much

Hi Barbara,

Please note that you’ve reached Finder, and independent comparison site, not Ubank.

To get the $40 cashback offer you need to open the account via Finder and apply the code BONUS40. You also need to make 3 purchases within the first 30 days of opening the account.

There is no minimum deposit required to earn this cash back offer, however if you want to earn bonus interest on the account you need to deposit $200 per month.

Thanks,

Alison

Hi, where can I find the Ubank’s international conversion rates? Also, if I withdraw money from an ATM that has the Visa accepted sign, will any fee incur still?

Hi, the rate that your currency is converted when using your card overseas is determined by Visa at the time of the transaction, not set by Ubank. ATM operators may charge their own fee when you want to withdraw cash, they’ll alert you to this fee at the time of the transaction so you can choose to go ahead with the withdrawal or not.

Thanks,

Alison
