Compare Samsung phone plans across the popular Galaxy S26 series, the more budget-friendly A series and more on 12-, 24- or 36-month repayment plans from Telstra, Optus and Vodafone.
The best Samsung plan will largely depend on what model you're after plus the provider. Two main factors determine the cost:
While Telstra and Optus will let you change the plan you're on, Vodafone will charge you a "Plan Transfer Fee" if you decide to get a cheaper mobile plan while tied to your contract.
Here's a quick summary of what's on offer from the 3 major providers:
Telstra lets you choose between a 12-, 24- or 36-month repayment period when you pair a Samsung phone with one of its upfront mobile plans. Apart from being Australia's largest mobile network, the main features of its plans include the following:
You can cancel your phone plan at any time, but you'll be required to pay off the full remaining value of your handset before you leave.
As a large provider, Vodafone also has all the latest iPhone and Samsung models (plus a few others) available on a 12-, 24- or 36-month contract.
The main advantage you get with Vodafone is access to its cheaper phone plans so your monthly bill will be a bit cheaper with Vodafone compared to another big provider. Here's what you get when you pair a handset with one of Vodafone's SIM only plans:
You're allowed to cancel your plan at any time by paying the rest of what you owe on your handset.
Optus has all the newest handsets available, giving you the choice between 12-, 24- or 36-month contracts when you pair them with an Optus Choice mobile plan.
With Optus, you can expect the following:
"Even three years on, my S21 continues to serve me well. The battery life is still a winner, it's fast and snappy as long as I transfer my extra-large media library onto Google Drive at regular intervals. The cameras are fab too, especially landscape images that come out so well. I did get it at a very good price during one of the major sales which made the phone even more worth it."

Hi, is the $300 finder reward apply to the samsung s26 ultra on a 24 month plan and on the promo plan? I only see the link to the 36 month option.
Hi Playlor, that plan was just an example to show you how to get the Finder reward. If you click Go to Site and enter your email, you will be taken to Optus’s website where you can choose whichever plan you want including the 24-month Promo plan. Hope this helps!
Does the Samsung J1 Prime have a blue tick?
Hi Althea,
Thanks for your comment.
Upon checking, Samsung J1 Prime is not part of the Blue Tick Telstra phones for the bush. If you wish, please check our list of Blue Tick Telstra phones. It should give you a better way to compare your options.
I hope this helps.

just went with dodo for my samsung s mobile .why cant i get any internet. signal there not connecting. was working well with virgin??
Hi Diane,
You’ve come through to finder.com.au. I would recommend visiting Settings > Wireless & Networks > More and selecting Mobile networks. Then make sure Optus 4G is selected as the preferred network. If it is, try resetting your handset. If you are still experiencing issues with your mobile service, I would recommend contacting Dodo technical support.
Thanks,
Brodie
looking for a plan for Galaxy J1
Hi Alex,
No provider in Australia offers the Samsung Galaxy J1 on a plan. However, you purchase the J1 on Optus Prepaid for $139.00 or the Galaxy J1 Ace for $99 on Vodafone Prepaid.
Thanks,
Brodie
Southern Phone now have the Samsung Galaxy J1 on a monthly plan.
