iPrimus started out as a broadband and home phone provider and has a long history on the Australian telecommunication market. More recently, the company began to sell entertainment bundles thanks to a lucrative partnership with the streaming service Fetch.
On the mobile front, iPrimus has a small selection of plans on the Optus network. These can be appealing to customers in search of an affordable, generous offer or to users who prefer keeping things simple and can go without data-free streaming or free subscriptions to various services.
iPrimus doesn’t sell handsets, so you need to BYO phone.
At the moment, there are three plans to choose from, available on a one-year contract. They all come with unlimited local and national talk/text, which is becoming the norm in today’s competitive mobile market. To stand out from the crowd, iPrimus offers unlimited international SMS/MMS as well on every plan.
At their core, the plans carry 18GB, 30GB and 40GB of data respectively. That’s a whopping amount of data even for avid smartphone users.
With prices ranging from $35 to $55/month, you’ll get yourself a pretty sweet deal. If by any chance you run out, additional data is priced at $10/GB.
iPrimus plans also come with international minutes to selected countries – the UK, USA, India, China, New Zealand and more. Depending on the plan, you can get from 350 minutes up to 3000 minutes, a handy feature for those who frequently call overseas. You can check which countries each plan covers on the iPrimus website.
