Deposit protection
Zeller is not a bank. It does not appear on APRA's register of authorised deposit-taking institutions (ADIs), and it operates under an Australian Financial Services Licence. Zeller says your funds are held on your behalf in an account with a fully licensed, APRA-regulated Australian bank, and that money in a Zeller Savings Account is not protected by the Financial Claims Scheme. That scheme covers deposits up to $250,000 per account holder at each ADI, so it does not apply to this account the way it would to a savings account held directly with a bank.
