Our verdict

The Bendigo Bank Everyday Account offers easy access to your funds. You can avoid the monthly account fee if you deposit at least $2,000 a month.

There is a $6 monthly account keeping fee, however this is waived if you deposit $2,000 per month. This deposit condition is higher than many other transaction accounts, so make sure you can realistically meet this if you want to avoid the monthly fee.

The account comes with a Debit MasterCard which you can use in Australia and overseas, in stores and online.

This account is suited to customers who have a home loan with Bendigo Bank because you can use this account as an offset account against your loan to reduce the amount of interest you need to pay.

Pros

  • Minimum opening balance $1
  • Internet and phone banking anywhere
  • Unlimited free Electronic and Counter transactions per month
  • Can be used as an offset account when linked up with your Bendigo home loan

Cons

  • $6 monthly service fee if you don't deposit $2000 each month or have a Bendigo Bank home loan

Hi, is there any limit to cash withrawals from my Everyday debit account? Neither the app, nor the internet banking seem offering to review/set card withdrawals limits.

Hi, the default daily cash withdrawal limit is $1000. This can be increased by speaking with the bank directly.

What is the frequency of paper statements

Hi Chrissy,

Thanks for your message. A statement is sent by Bendigo monthly. If you want to opt for e-statements, you may do so by providing an email address and will be used to notify you when you have a new e-statement available for viewing via e-banking. You must select to receive either email notifications or paper statements. Also, you can view and save each statement as a PDF.

Hope this helps!

Best,

Nikki

Hi Ben,

Thank you for getting in touch with Finder.

If you’re considering to deposit a thousand dollar higher than the monthly requirement of $2,000, you may do so. Please note that as long as you deposit at least $2000 per month you will not be charged a monthly account fee.

I hope this helps.

Thank you and have a wonderful day!

Cheers,

Jeni
