Vaya is the first mobile provider to offer a price match guarantee, making it a great option for the budget conscious.
What services does Vaya offer?
Vaya has come a long way since it was acquired by Amaysim at the start of 2016. The MVNO has improved its plans and gone on the offensive, launching the country's first mobile plan price match guarantee for its SIM-only plans. As part of its brand promise, the network will price match any comparable SIM plan and offer users a month free.
Vaya runs on the Optus 4G network, and similar to its parent company Amaysim, exclusively offers SIM only month-to-month plans with a varying range of talk, text and data inclusions.
How much does Vaya cost?
Pricing for Vaya's range of SIM-only plans starts at $18 a month and range up to $34 per month. There are two types of plan on offer – The Power Plan and Unlimited Plans, which offer varying levels of talk and text inclusions. As you can guess from the name, the Unlimited plans offer unlimited talk and text, while the Power Plans only include $650 worth of national calls (but still unlimited SMS).
As with many other providers today, the main differentiator between the different plan tiers is data. Both the Power Plan S and the Unlimited S plans include 1.5GB of data, the 'M' level of both plans include 2GB, 'L' gets you 3GB of data on both plan options while the XL size includes 7GB of data to use every month.
Additional data on all plans comes in at $10/GB, which will be automatically charged to your account should you exceed your monthly allowance.
What extras does Vaya offer?
Playing in the low cost mobile plan market, Vaya doesn't offer a lot in the way of extras to its customers, instead focusing on its price match guarantee to ensure low prices.
