Is TeleChoice right for me?

  • What does TeleChoice offer? TeleChoice offers NBN plans with unlimited data on no-lock-in, month-to-month contracts. These plans are standalone affairs and do not need to be bundled with TeleChoice's mobile plans.
  • Product highlights: Very competitive prices, no set-up fees, phone service included with all plans at no extra cost.
  • Watch out for: TeleChoice requires you to purchase a modem as part of your NBN plan. That cost is spread out in installments over the first six months of your service, but if you cancel your plan before six months have passed, you'll have to pay the remaining installments in one go.

TeleChoice's NBN plans explained

TeleChoice deals exclusively in unlimited NBN plans with no data caps. These plans operate on month-to-month, no-lock-in contracts and come with a pay-as-you-go Voice over IP (VoIP) phone service included at no extra cost. Availability is limited to Aussies living within fixed-line regions of the NBN. Fixed wireless and satellite customers will have to look elsewhere.

There are three plans to pick from. Each corresponds to a different NBN speed tier, with Basic, Standard and Standard Plus speeds available. Pricing for these plans is as follows:

How does TeleChoice compare?

TeleChoice fares quite well against the competition in the NBN market. Its Basic and Standard speed NBN plans compare particularly well, ranking among the cheaper options currently available. It's only at the Standard Plus speed tier that TeleChoice starts to lose a little ground. Even then, it's worth noting that many of its cheaper rivals don't include a phone service as part of their offerings.

Why should you consider TeleChoice?

TeleChoice has a lot to offer folks looking for a basic and affordable NBN service. Not only are its plans among the cheapest on the market, but each includes a pay-as-you-go VoIP phone service at no extra cost – a perk that few budget-oriented telcos offer.

Add to that the freedom of no lock-in contracts and some solid typical evening speeds, and TeleChoice stands as a worthy contender in the Australian NBN market.
