What do you get with a Vodafone plan?

Out of the 3 big telcos, Vodafone's biggest selling point is it offers the cheapest mobile plans of the lot. However, its coverage mostly suits those in the big cities.

Besides a stronger price point, you also get:

  • No excess data charges. Speeds get capped at 2Mbps once you've gone through your monthly data allowance.
  • No lock-in contract.
  • 3 months of Amazon Music Unlimited.

Optus Z Flip 4 plans and promotions

There's no free storage upgrade with Optus, but it does have $864 worth of extras up for grabs:

  • A bonus Tab A8 (grey 64GB), valued at $529.
  • 3-month free 5GB connected devices data plan for the Tab A8, worth $45 in total.
  • 6-month free Upgrade and Protect for your device, originally $90 (excludes lost or stolen phones).
  • Free storage upgrade worth $200, just like Telstra and Vodafone.

Here's a price breakdown if you sign up to Optus's cheapest mobile plan ($49 for 30GB) and get on a 12-, 24- or 36-month repayment contract.

  • Please note: Device costs for the Z Flip 4 from Woolworths Mobile are higher than Samsung's RRP price.

Assuming you sign up to its cheapest mobile plan ($25/month for 22GB), your expected monthly costs for the phone will be:

128GB model (comes with $240 off RRP)

  • $62.33/month over 36 months
  • $81/month over 24 months

256GB (comes with $350 off RRP)

  • Access to Telstra's 3G and 4G wholesale mobile network, covering 98.8% of Australians.
  • Data banking up to 500GB.

So, what's the best Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 plan?

The best plan for you depends on what you're after.

Optus and Telstra are your best bet if you want freebies such as the Galaxy Watch 5 or the Tab A8.

If you'd rather save money then Vodafone's $500 bonus trade-in offer is a strong alternative.

But if you don't have a phone to trade in and just want the cheapest plan without the bells and whistles, you could consider Woolworths Mobile.
