Qantas 30% off Classic Reward Flights: Our top picks

Bargain reward seats to Noumea, Bangkok, Honolulu and more.
Now this is a good way to spend your frequent flyer points.
Qantas is offering 30% off Classic Flight Rewards on a handful of routes.
Classic Flight Rewards, where you pay a set number of points (plus charges) for a flight, are one of the best ways to spend your frequent flyer points.
Worth noting: This offer only applies to Economy seats. While I get that lots of people have getting a Business seat as a goal, Economy is still a good value option, and there are generally a lot more seats available.
Here are all the Qantas routes featured, and how much you'll pay in points for a one-way flight with the 30% discount:
Route | Airline | Points required |
---|---|---|
Brisbane-Noumea | Qantas | 8,400 |
Sydney-Noumea | Qantas | 12,600 |
Sydney-Honolulu | Qantas | 22,050 |
Sydney-Bangkok | Qantas | 17,640 |
Melbourne-Delhi | Qantas | 26,320 |
Sydney-Jakarta | Qantas | 14,210 |
To qualify, you need to book before 19 June 2022, for travel between 23 July 2002 and 1 June 2023.
I'm personally tempted by the flights to Noumea, a route Qantas only recently resumed.
In addition to the Qantas options, there's also a similar promotion for some Jetstar-only routes. Honestly this is a bit less tempting, since Economy on Jetstar is definitely a step down from Qantas. That said, it does offer a broader group of destinations.
Here's where you can fly with Jetstar:
- Sydney-Seoul
- Melbourne-Singapore
- Melbourne-Bangkok
- Sydney-Phuket
- Melbourne-Phuket
- Cairns-Bali
- Darwin-Bali
- Adelaide-Bali
- Melbourne-Ho Chi Minh City
- Sydney-Ho Chi Minh City
For Jetstar, the eligible period for flight bookings is a bit shorter – flights from 23 July 2022 to 25 March 2023 qualify.
My take? If one of the destinations from Qantas is on your bucket list, this is definitely worth exploring. Spend those points wisely!
