Accor ALL Qantas Gold status match: How to get free hotel upgrades

Score elevated hotel status without having to run up 30 nights of stays.
I love a status match, and right now hotel loyalty scheme Accor ALL has a pretty generous one.
Link your Accor ALL membership with your Qantas account and register for the offer online before 12 August 2022 and you'll be bumped up to ALL Gold.
This is a pretty broad offer, since it includes Silver frequent flyers and above. (Bronze, the Qantas entry level, is the only tier not included.)
Normally, to score Gold you need to run up 30 nights in Accor properties. The updated status applies until 31 December 2023. Accor says it may take "a few weeks" to appear on your account.
"Working together with Qantas, this is the first time we have provided complimentary ALL Gold status without travellers needing to stay at an Accor property," said Accor CEO Sarah Derry.
Accor is the largest hotel chain in Australia. Its key brands include Ibis, Mercure, Novotel, Sofitel and Mantra.
Key benefits of Gold include room upgrades (when available), the option to get either an early check-in or a late check-out and a voucher for welcome drinks.
I'm a big fan of the early check-in benefit, since otherwise that typically costs $60 or so at most Accor Australian properties.
Accor is also offering an additional fast track for Qantas Platinum One members to move onto its Platinum tier. To get that, you'll need to book at least one night's stay at an Accor property before the end of the year. That's generous, but will only apply to a small number of frequent flyers.
Status match offers from hotel chains are becoming more common. Earlier this year, IHG One Rewards offered a free upgrade to Platinum Elite for all members.
