With a long and rich history, Dodo is still going strong, offering a vast array of services – from broadband to electricity to mobile plans.
Dodo’s month-to-month plans all come with unlimited local and national talk, as well as unlimited national and international text. Data caps range from 4GB up to 12GB and 18GB. The two larger plans also come with a quota of international minutes to use calling select countries. You can check the complete list of destinations covered on Dodo’s website. If you run out of data, you’ll pay a default standard of $10 per GB.
If you opt for a 12-month contract, plan prices don’t change, but you do get more data. The most-affordable plan bumps up to 6GB, while the other two increase to 20GB and 30GB respectively. If you spend a lot of time streaming or browsing the web and social networks while on mobile data, signing a contract might be worth it for the bonus GB.
Dodo also offers a PAYG prepaid option. You recharge with anything from $10 (60 day expiry) to $100 (365 day expiry) and spend this sum on calls/texts/data, as needed. Rates are 11c/min for standard calls, 11c/SMS, and 5c/MB. This would be a cost-effective option if you’re the type of consumer who doesn’t use their phone a lot, but you still want to have one for the occasional call or text. As for mobile broadband, Dodo has a variety of postpaid and prepaid mobile broadband plans, with up to 50GB data.
