Can points be claimed retrospectively, i.e. can points be claimed for a flight that took place 1 week prior to joining KrisFlyer?
Hi Bernard,
Thank you for your question.
Yes, you can claim points retrospectively. If you flew with Singapore Airlines within six months of you becoming a member, you’re able to fill out a retroactive claim form on the Singapore Airlines website to claim your missing Miles.
I hope this has answered your question.
Thanks,
Sally
I have received an email telling me my miles are expiring in October 2015.
I am booked to fly Singapore airlines in August/September 2015 so can the expiration date be extended.
Nor can I access the site to view the details of the program. My husband is also a member and I understood he had transferred his miles to the credit of my account. Can you confirm this has been done.
Hi Nancye,
Thank you for your question.
You have actually come through to finder.com.au, not Singapore Airlines.
However, we can confirm that each KrisFlyer mile has a life of three years, unless they’re earned in a contest (then they’ll only last one year). You can extend the life of these miles by six months for a fee, or for one year if you are a KrisFlyer Elite Silver member or higher.
Should you wish to extend your miles or confirm whether your husband’s points were successfully transferred to your account, you may want to contact the Singapore Airlines customer service team.
I hope this has answered your question.
Thanks,
Sally
how to join
Hi David,
Thank you for your question.
You have actually come through to finder.com.au, not Singapore Airlines.
You can apply for KrisFlyer frequent flyer membership via the Singapore Airlines website. You will need to fill out the KrisFlyer membership form with personal information including your name, date of birth, contact details and address, so make sure to have all of these details handy.
I hope this has answered your question.
Thanks,
Sally
I have upcoming flights booked with Lufthansa and SAS, which have different FF programs but are both part of Star Alliance. If I join Singapore Airlines program can I claim points for those flights?
Hi Annie,
Thanks for your question.
You’re able to earn Krisflyer Miles by flying with any Star Alliance airline, which includes both Scandinavian Airlines and Lufthansa.
I hope this has helped.
Thanks,
Elizabeth
since November 2014,my wife Mrs Rekha and I have been travelling with Singapore Airline. I returned from India on 27 Feb 2015. I would appreciate it, if you can advise us on the process of claiming points, if applicable in our case. Further would like to know our Membership numbers as well.
Regards,
Mahendra
Hi Mahendra,
Thanks for your question.
You’ll need to visit the Singapore Airlines website in order to retrieve your membership number – you can just submit your full name, date of birth and email address in order to retrieve it. You can fill in a retroactive claim form for flights you have flown and claim points within six months of flying. You can download this form on the Krisflyer website or through your online account.
I hope this has helped.
Thanks,
Elizabeth
Thanks.
