Hi
I have linked Krisflyer and Velocity accounts. What are the factors to consider in deciding which one of the accounts to earn points/status credits in?
Noting I primarily fly Virgin domestic and Singapore international
Thanks
Hi Girish,
Thanks for your question.
To decide which frequent flyer program to set as your default on your linked account, you can consider who you fly with the most, any upcoming trips that’ll require you to fly with either airline and which will allow you to earn more of the rewards you want.
Essentially you’ll want to select the program that’ll allow you to earn the maximum amount of points and earn your preferred rewards.
I hope this has helped.
Cheers,
Sally
On Krisflyer, will I be able to earn miles on dates prior to the date on which I enrol as a member if the dates are within 6 months of enrolment. Or does the 6 month rule apply only for existing members?
Hi Steve,
Thanks for reaching out.
New cardholders can claim points for flights flown with Singapore Airlines or their partners within six months prior to their enrollment.
I hope this has cleared up your question.
Cheers,
Sally
How can I nominate family members for rewards redemption ?
Hi Susan,
Thanks for your question.
You can nominate family members for rewards redemption by completing the redemption group nomination form available on the Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer website. I’ve emailed you a copy of the form and some relevant links for your convenience.
Once they have been added to your nominated redemption group you can go into the “Online Redemption Booking” section of your KrisFlyer online account to book flights and redeem rewards for your family members.
I hope this has helped.
Cheers,
Sally
I have taken a flight around the world and the travel agent has not put my ff number in. I have tried to do it on line but it keeps throwing me off. Can you provide me with a phone number to speak to a agent please
Hi Sylvie,
Thanks for your question.
I’ve emailed you the relevant contact details for your convenience.
You can also reclaim your ‘missing miles’ by completing and submitting a “Retroactive Mileage claim” form online. I’ve emailed this link to you as well.
Thanks,
Sally
Hi, How can I determine how many elite points I will earn on a Star Alliance flight for example SAS or lufthansa?
Hi Chris,
Thanks for your question.
How many points you can earn will depend on the length of your flight, the destination and the status of your ticket. Most airlines have a points calculator on their website that you can use to estimate how many points you’ll receive for your specific flight.
I hope this has helped.
Thanks,
Sally
