Why choose CoverMy Pet?

  • With dog insurance from $14.66 and cat insurance from $11.16 a fortnight, CoverMy Pet is designed to keep premiums manageable without cutting corners on the essentials.
  • Choose between $2,000, $4,000 or $8,000 in annual vet fee cover, depending on your pet's needs and your budget.
  • All three plans reimburse up to 85% of eligible vet costs, so you're not left carrying the full bill after an unexpected trip to the vet.
  • Once you're covered, your pet won't be excluded from an ongoing condition just because they've claimed for it before.
  • CoverMy Pet can pay your vet directly, so you don't need to pay the full invoice upfront and wait to be reimbursed.
  • Policies are administered by Petplan Australasia, giving CoverMy Pet a depth of industry knowledge that newer insurers can't match.

What's not covered?

As a vet fee-only policy, there are some notable exclusions:

  • Routine and preventative care — This includes things like vaccinations, desexing, microchipping, teeth cleaning, heartworm prevention and health checks.
  • Pre-existing conditions — This refers to conditions your pet had before the policy started (or during the waiting period) are excluded.
  • Dental illness — Dental disease is typically excluded unless it results from an accident.
  • Breeding costs — These are treatments related to pregnancy or breeding.
  • Elective procedures — This refers to treatments that aren't deemed medically necessary by a vet.

Keep in mind, these are just some of the exclusions. For a full list, please read the CoverMy Pet PDS.
