Get yourself Apple's newest budget-friendly iPhone SE 2022, plus a free 12-month subscription to Disney Plus through Telstra.

The iPhone SE 2022 is finally available for pre-orders and you can snag yourself one on a phone plan through Telstra.

Eager beavers will be keen to try out this tiny beast which offers 5G, better cameras and has the powerful A15 Bionic Chip, which was first used in the iPhone 13.

How much do Telstra's iPhone SE 2022 plans cost?

The latest iPhone SE is priced at $719 for the 64GB model, $799 for 128GB and $969 for 256GB.

If you're not ready to splurge outright, Telstra offers 12-, 24- and 36-month repayment plans.

Assuming you want its cheapest offer, you can pair your repayment contract with Telstra's lowest costing mobile plan, $55 per month for 40GB.

Here's a breakdown of what you'll end up paying depending on your preference of storage capacity:

Depending on your repayment period, the iPhone SE 64GB will cost you:

Is Telstra offering any iPhone SE pre-order deals?

Unfortunately, there aren't any pre-order offers from Telstra, but what you do get is a free 12-month subscription to Disney Plus on its Medium plan or higher.

Telstra has also discounted its Extra Large mobile plan, which will cost you $65 per month for 180GB for the first year, then revert back to $115 per month after that.

That means you're getting the Extra Large plan for the same price as its Medium plan, but with an extra 100GB to splurge on each month.

If it's any help, Optus and Vodafone also aren't offering any special deals on iPhone SE plans so you're not really missing out on anything there.

What do you get on a Telstra mobile plan?

In return for signing up with Telstra, you also get:

  • No excess data charges. Your speeds will be capped at 1.5Mbps once your monthly data allowance runs out.
  • Unlimited international texts to all countries and at least 30 minutes of free calls.
  • Data-free streaming of live sport.
  • Data sharing with up to 10 upfront mobile or data services linked to your account.
  • 3-month free subscription to BINGE.

If you decide to go with the Medium plan or higher, you also get:

  • 5G network access.
  • 12-month free subscription to Disney Plus.

Is it worth signing up to Telstra's iPhone SE plans?

Out of the 3 major telcos (Optus and Vodafone being the other 2), Telstra offers the best coverage, especially for those that live in rural and regional areas.

While this comes at a slightly higher cost, an additional $10-$15 per month when comparing to Optus and Vodafone's cheapest mobile plans, you do potentially avoid the headache of little to no reception at your property.

But if you're planning to spend most of your time in metro areas, Optus or Vodafone could be a bit kinder to your wallet.
