How old can the car be

      ShirleyMarch 17, 2015Staff

      Hi Gabby,

      Thanks for your question.

The age of the vehicle is often assessed on a case by case basis. Most lenders are willing to accept vehicles that are less than 5-7 years old as security for the loan.

      Cheers,
      Shirley

      Hi Jenny,

      Thanks for your question.

Please note that finder.com.au is an online comparison service and does not represent NRMA. If you would like to discuss your eligibility or options, please get in touch with NRMA directly.

Centrelink benefits are often accepted as income, but generally you’ll need an income from another source, such as employment.

      Cheers,
      Shirley

      Hi Annie,

      Thanks for your question.

The conditions for this loan are as follows:
-The loan amount is more than $5,000
-You are over 18 years of age
-You haven’t defaulted on any loan or credit within the last three years
-You haven’t entered bankruptcy within the last 7 years
-You’re an Australian resident or citizen
-You can provide evidence of a regular income

You’ll need to be able to show that your income can service your repayments. Since your loan amount is less than $15,000 the discount may not apply. Please refer to the interest rate on this page.

If you have any questions about your eligibility, please speak to the customer service team at NRMA as they will be able to provide you with a more informed answer.

      Cheers,
      Shirley

      Hi Sherrin,
      thanks for the question.

To be eligible to apply for this loan with a pension you must be earning over $1,500 a month and fully own your home.

      I hope this helps,
