Performance
In June 2025, Optus came 3rd (out of 11 providers) in the ACCC Broadband Performance Report. Optus delivered maximum speeds 103% of the time during the busy hours of the day (7pm to 11pm).
As Optus achieves speeds exceeding 100%, this means it consistently delivers the advertised speeds on its plans even during peak hours of the day.
- Good to know: The maximum speed is the fastest speed achievable for a particular NBN plan. For example, NBN 50 plans max out at 50Mbps.
Since the report's inception in 2021, Optus has consistently ranked in the top 4 providers.
- Why this matters: The ACCC report measures speeds to help consumers see which NBN providers are providing reliable speeds in line with what they advertise.
I read that there is a limit on how many users (first in first served) that will receive the gift card.
As this promotion has been running for a while, how can I check if I fall into the first x users and that I will receive?
I dont want to switch if I didn’t make the cut.
Hi VL,
Once the allocation of gift cards has been exhausted, the offer will be ended and you will no longer see the option available. With our Optus offer, it was very popular, and it was then refreshed with a new allocation of gift cards in January.
So, as long as you see the offer live and you meet the eligibility requirements, you’ll qualify for the gift card. Once you process your transaction, you’ll receive an email from Finder explaining next steps.
Hope this helps!
I am an existing Optus 50Mbps FTTN NBN customer.
If I change to a 500 Mbps FTTP NBN customer am I eligible for the $350 Visa card?
Thanks
Hi Denis,
Unfortunately as you’re already an existing NBN Optus customer, you’ll not eligible for this reward. But you may be eligible for one of our other awards on offer, which you can view here.
Hi there,
am i able to get the $350 nbn deal if im already a customer for mobile plans?
Hi Paul,
Yes, as long as you’re not an NBN customer you’re eligible for the reward.
Hi there,
I have recently activated my Optus nbn but I have no idea how to get the $350 visa rewards from finder. Can you help help me?
Thanks
Hi there,
Can you please contact us directly so we can look into this for you? Email: gxcustomercare@finder.com.
Does it matter which link you click to access the product page?
For example, if I clicked the NBN 100 promotional link but end up purchasing the NBN 500 plan on the OPTUS website, am I still eligible for the reward? As far as I know, all the get deal link leads you to the same OPTUS product page.
Hi John, As long as you sign up for an eligible plan with the same email address as your Finder account, you should be eligible.
