DeVoteD NBN | NBN broadband plans

Devote yourself to an NBN Fibre, NBN Wireless or FTTB broadband connection for your home and experience high speed connectivity with DeVoteD NBN.

DeVoteD Group began operations in 2000 as part of the movie industry. It saw a huge opportunity surrounding the future of movie streaming and online business with the rollout of the NBN infrastructure, and so, hopped on the telecommunications bandwagon. This business now offers VoIP and UNI-V phone connections, NBN Fibre and wireless broadband connections, as well as FTTB broadband connections.

DeVoteD relies on AAPT as its principal carrier of NBN phone and Internet services. For VoIP services, it relies on the M2 Group.

What broadband plans and bundles does DeVoteD NBN offer?

DeVoteD Group provides NBN connections to areas that are already part of the NBN rollout, and multi-dwelling buildings can get FTTB connections. You can choose from different plans in each scenario.

NBN Fibre

The NBN Fibre data plans that DeVoteD offers don’t charge excess data charges, and caped plans come with high shaping speeds of up to 1,024Kbps. There is no limitation as to when you can use your data allowance, and only the data you download counts towards the total data quota.

With certain plans, you can also get up to $100 as welcome credit. Details of DeVoteD Group NBN Fibre plans are as follows:

Setup fees vary in accordance to contract length. If you sign up for a 24 month contract you get free setup, with a 12 month contract you have to pay $50 in one-time setup fees, with a six month contract you pay $75 in fees, and with no contract you have to pay $100.

These prices are for standard installations, and NBN Co determines fees for non-standard installations. All prices quoted are current as of May 2015.

You have the option of bundling your DeVoteD NBN Fibre connection with a DeVoteD UNI-V plan. This enables you to save on a monthly basis. Here’s how:

While one UNI-V phone line comes at a bundled price along with your NBN Fibre connection, if you want a second UNI-V phone connection, you’ll have to pay its unbundled price.

NBN Wireless

In the absence of optic fibre cabling in your neighbourhood, you can consider getting an NBN Wireless broadband connection through DeVoteD. As with its NBN Fibre plans, its Wireless plans don’t charge for excess data and don’t place restrictions on when you can use your data allowance.

Only downloaded content counts towards your total usage. Pricing details of these plans are as follows:

As with NBN Fibre plans, set up charges for these vary in accordance to chosen contract terms.

FTTB stands for ‘Fibre to the Building’ and this high-speed broadband and voice service uses fibre optic and other network equipment installed in basements of multi-dwelling buildings. FTTB with home phone connections is limited to select locations. DeVoteD’s FTTB plan details are as follows:

Streaming with DeVoteD NBN

One important benefit of the high speed Internet connectivity that NBN connections provide is that you can stream videos easily. This enables you to start watching videos from the moment they start downloading, as opposed to waiting for them to download completely.

There are a number of streaming service providers in Australia and the content they offer tends to differ. In any case, you can expect to watch old and new movies as well as popular TV shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Homeland, Louie, American Horror Story, Always Greener and A Touch of Frost as, and when, you like - without annoying commercials.

Since not all streaming service providers are the same, it’s best that you compare a few before making a decision. Here’s what you can expect from some of the country’s leading providers:
