If you're a member of Everyday Rewards (previously Woolworths Rewards), you can choose to get Qantas Points instead of money off your shop at Woolworths and other partners. Switching between these reward options is easy, and you'll get 500 1,000 Qantas Points for every 2,000 Everyday Rewards points you earn.

How can I earn Qantas Points through Everyday Rewards?

With Everyday Rewards, the default option is to get $10 off your shop at Woolworths or other partners when you have earned 2,000 points. You can switch to earning Qantas Points using the following steps:

  1. Log in to your Everyday Rewards account online or via the app.
  2. Click on "My Account" and then on "Rewards Choice".
  3. Select the Qantas Points option and follow the prompts to confirm your choice.

You'll need to provide your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number to start earning points. If you haven't joined Qantas Frequent Flyer yet, you can sign up for free when you choose to earn Qantas Points through Everyday Rewards. This saves you $99.50 on the usual joining fee.

After setting this up, you'll get 1,000 Qantas Points added to your frequent flyer account once you have earned 2,000 Everyday Rewards points.

How many Qantas Points can I earn at Woolworths?

You earn a minimum of 1 Everyday Rewards point per $1 spent in-store and online at Woolworths, Big W, BWS and Ampol or Woolworths-Caltex branded service stations. This works out to 0.5 Qantas Points per $1 spent.

This isn't the most competitive earn rate, so you might want to also consider a Qantas Frequent Flyer credit card if you're looking to earn more Qantas Points on daily transactions.

Is it worth converting Woolworths Everyday Rewards Points to Qantas Points?

You can get more value from Qantas Points than Everyday Rewards Points, but it does depend on how you use them. Qantas Points offer the highest value when you redeem them for flights (including flight upgrades). 1,000 Qantas Points is typically worth between $15-$30 when used this way.

If you don't travel a lot or aren't actively earning Qantas Points in any other way, you might prefer to use Everyday Rewards to get money off your shop.

Example: Comparing the value of Qantas Points vs Everyday Rewards Points

To give you an idea of the value your points could give you, let's look at a one-way economy flight from Sydney to Melbourne.

  • Points needed to redeem the flight: 9,200 Qantas Points.
  • Cost if you paid for the flight: Typically between $150 and $400.
  • Value of points: Every 1,000 Qantas Points would be worth between $15 and $25 for this reward (based on the cost if you paid for a flight).

In comparison, the value of 2,000 Everyday Rewards Points is $10 when you use your points to get money off your shop at Woolworths or another partner.

Important conditions to remember

  • Opt in to Qantas Points. By default, your purchases will earn Everyday Rewards points. You’ll need to opt into the Qantas Frequent Flyer Points redemption offer if you’d like to convert your Everyday Rewards points for Qantas rewards.
  • Points expiry. If you don’t have any activity in your Qantas Frequent Flyer account for 18 months, your Qantas Points will expire. Choosing to earn Qantas Points through your Everyday Rewards account can help you avoid losing your frequent flyer point balance.
  • Eligible purchases. Note that the Everyday Rewards program only earns points on eligible purchases. This excludes gift cards, mobile phone cards, tobacco products, Internet cafés, cash withdrawals and selected services.

    How can i change my temporary everyday rewards card to a regular card?

      Hi Nasrin,

      Thanks for your question.

      Looking at the Everyday Rewards website it seems you’re given a temporary card when you sign up until you are sent your permanent card. If you haven’t received one you can get one by going to the Everyday Rewards website and clicking on ‘replace my card’. From there you can fill in your details and a new card will be sent out to you. Again, you will be sent a temporary barcode to use in the meantime until your permanent card arrives.

    I have an amex card linked to MY qantas frequent flyer account and an everyday reward card also linked to my qantas frequent flyer account. If I decide to unlink my amex card to qantas frequent flyer because I just want amex points can I still keep my everyday reward card linked to my qantas frequent flyer account and only get the qantas frequent flyer points on the everyday reward card. I don’t think my everyday reward card still getting qantas points has anything to do with my amex card if i drop my qantas link on the amex card as long as my everyday reward card stays linked to my qantas frequent flyer account.Am I correct on this?

      Unless an agreement between American Express and Qantas Frequent Flyers is in conjunction to an Woolworths Everyday Rewards program, there will be no effect to the Everyday Rewards and Qantas Frequent Flyer form unlinking the American Express.

    How come I have 10000 points in my everyday rewards points but only 2000 in my frequent flyers points both cards are linked ???

      Woolworths Everyday Rewards cards are offer Woolworths Everyday Rewards points by default instead of Qantas points. To receive Qantas Points, you’ll need to link your Qantas Frequent Flyer account with your Everyday Rewards account, the instructions on how to link both accounts are available. If it is the case that both cards are already linked, depending on when the linking between the two cards took place you could have accumulated a certain amount of Everyday Rewards Points before the linking took place. A contact webform is available via the Qantas points website where you can make an inquiry about your current points balance.

      My cards are linked but have 2 totally different points on them and I can’t redeem my 10000 points on my everyday rewards card !!

      Woolworths Everyday Rewards cards can be linked to a Qantas Frequent Flyer program, to receive Qantas points instead of Woolworths Everyday Rewards. This provides the benefit for every dollar you spend over $30, you’ll get one bonus Frequent Flyer or Everyday Rewards point depending on which program has been chosen. Depending on when the cards have been linked there may have been a period when points were earned on a certain program, before a request was made to change to another program.
      Woolworths Everyday Rewards have three points of contact for customer service, online live chat and email are available from their ‘Contact Us’ tab on the everyday rewards website and are contactable via phone on 1300 10 1234 Mon-Fri 8am-8pm Sat-Sun 9am-5pm.

    How do I redeem Everyday Rewards points for non-flights? Apparently there are ‘over 3000 rewards’ I can take, but I can’t find out where they are???

      You can browse through the available rewards on your online account on the Everyday Rewards website. If you don’t currently have an account, you can create one and start redeeming.

      No you can’t . I’ve worked it out since and you have to go to the “Qantas shop” (online). Please don’t write any old thing – seconds on the ER site will show you there’s no redemption facility there. You can request points be redeemed periodically as $20 gift cards (an automated process), but nothing else.

      Apologies, I misunderstood and thought you were talking about redeeming Everyday Rewards rather than Qantas Rewards. Just to clarify, you can redeem via your Everyday Rewards online account, these rewards are based off auto-redemption but are still set up through your online account. If you’ve linked your card to Qantas Frequent Flyer you can also redeem rewards through the Qantas Frequent Flyer store.
