  • Bank your points. Save up your points for Christmas. If you choose this option, your points will be banked and then made available to you in increments of 10 Woolworths Dollars on 15 December 2016. For example, if you earn 10,000 points between 1 September and 15 December 2016, you would get 50 Woolworths Dollars (and $50 off your shopping at Woolworths).
  • Convert Woolworths Dollars to Qantas Points. You can choose to have the Woolworths Dollars you earn converted to Qantas frequent flyer points. With this option, your points will be saved up in 10 Woolworths Dollar increments and automatically transferred to your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership on 15 December 2016. You can order an additional card using the following steps:

  • Log in at woolworthsrewards.com.au
  • Select “My Account”, then “Cards & accounts”
  • Scroll down to the option for “Order a new card”
  • Select “Additional card” with your rewards card number from the list

My partner and I have separate Woolworths Rewards accounts. Can we combine our points and continue earning rewards in the one account?

No, you can't share or transfer Woolworths points that are earned on separate accounts. But you could choose one account and order an additional card so that all future rewards are pooled.

Woolworths Rewards does allow you to link other Rewards cards to your account if you want to share fuel discounts. To do this, log in to your account and go to the “Cards & accounts” section then link your cards using their individual details.

I forgot to swipe my Woolworths Rewards card at the checkout. Can I still earn rewards points?

No. Woolworths Rewards will not provide any points on purchases made without scanning your card, even if you've kept the receipt.

Are there any other perks?

The Woolworths Rewards program also provides in-store member offers and exclusive, customised bonus points offers, savings on your favourite products and fuel discounts.

Is there a minimum spend to earn fuel discounts?

Yes. By spending $30 or more and scanning your rewards card during the transaction, a 4c per litre discount will be loaded on your card for use at participating Caltex Woolworths co-branded fuel outlets. As of 31 August 2016, you can also earn points at Caltex Woolworths fuel outlets (excluding Tasmania, Star Mart and Star Shop) on top of what you get at Woolworths and BWS.

What's the difference between Woolworths Rewards and Woolworths Everyday Rewards?

Previously, this rewards program was known as Woolworths Everyday Rewards. But between October 2015 and August 2016, it went through some serious changes. In 2015, Woolworths changed the Everyday Rewards program to Woolworths Rewards. The updated scheme allowed you to get money off your shopping with the supermarket giant by earning Woolworths Dollars on selected items. It also scrapped the option of earning Qantas Points for eligible spending.

Following that change and feedback from customers, Woolworths updated the program again on 31 August 2016. The current program offers 1 point per $1 spent at Woolworths supermarkets, Woolworths online, BWS and Caltex Woolworths fuel outlets. You then have the option of automatically redeeming points for money off your shopping, saving them up, or converting them to Qantas Points.

How does Woolworths Everyday Rewards compare to Woolworths Rewards?

What are Woolworths Dollars?

Woolworths Dollars were the currency of the Woolworths Rewards program launched in October 2015. Each Woolworth Dollar was worth AUD$1 off a future spend at participating Woolworths Group stores.

You earned Woolworth Dollars by scanning your card when purchasing selected orange ticket items at Woolworths online, Woolworths supermarkets and BWS stores, excluding Tasmania. When you accumulated 10 Woolworth Dollars, you automatically got $10 off your next transaction in participating stores by scanning your card. As of 31 August 2016, Woolworths points will be earned on spending and can then be converted into Woolworths Dollars, with 2,000 points equalling 10 Woolworths Dollars.

Is there still a minimum spend to earn Woolworths points?

No. Previously, under the previous Woolworths Everyday Rewards scheme, you had to spend $30 to earn 1 Qantas Point per $1 spent. Following the 31 August 2016 updates, you will earn 1 point per $1 spent at participating Woolworths Group stores.

If you regularly shop at Woolworths, BWS and Caltex Woolworths co-branded petrol stations, the Woolworths Rewards program gives you a way to get more benefits from your spending. But as this program has gone through many changes, it's useful to read up on details and frequently asked questions. I have been using a temporary card, can I transfer points on to new permanent card

    • Staff
      May | February 7, 2017

      Hi Diane,

      Thank you for your inquiry.

Once you register your temporary card, you can keep your points from that card and then you can redeem them using your new permanent card. A temporary card is only valid for six months from the date it’s first scanned, so make sure you register your temporary card quickly so you don’t lose your points.

To register your temporary card online, please follow these simple steps:

      1. Login to woolworthsrewards.com.au
      2. Select ‘My Account’ in the top-right corner, then ‘Cards & accounts’
      3. Scroll to ‘Order a new card’
      4. Select the card to replace and follow the prompts

      Hope this helps.

      Cheers,
      May

      Hi Geoffrey,

      Thanks for your comment.

Please note that you’ve come through to finder.com.au we are an Australian financial comparison website and general information service, not actually Woolworths.

Woolworths will actually email their offers and promotions unless you’ve chosen to opt out of this in your account settings. So if your wife is not receiving these emails and she’d like to, please check the following:

      1. Make sure the email address that Woolworths have for your wife is correct. She can do this by logging into woolworthsrewards.com.au, clicking on ‘My Account’ and selecting ‘My Details’.

      2. It’s important to check that she has subscribed to their emails. She can do this in the ‘Communications’ section of the website.

      3. Finally, add Woolworths Rewards to her email contacts list to ensure Woolworths will always appear in her inbox.

      Hope this helps.

      Cheers,
      May
