What super funds are offered by Christian Super?

For both personal and employer based supers, Australians are given a choice of five managed super funds to choose from. Each is rated according to the level of risk it offers, which like with other funds directly reflects on its rate of return. Before you make a decision on the superannuation investment company that you want in charge of your retirement, the funds they offer and rates of return are a major factor that you may want to compare closely:

  • Ethical High Growth. The highest risk level fund offered by Christian Super, the return has fluctuated greatly over the last nine years, but still has a competitive rate when invested for a five year period.
  • MyEthical Super. Your funds are slightly less at risk with this super, although there is not a huge difference in the rate of return for your investment.
  • Ethical Balanced. The happy medium super fund from Christian Super is designed to help ensure your funds are still growing at a competitive rate, even as you start thinking about preserving them.
  • Ethical Stable. The Ethical Stable fund does not differ greatly in returns over extended periods of time from the balanced fund.
  • Ethical Cash. There is hardly any at risk to your superannuation at all with this fund, although historically it performs at almost half of what the return is with the Stable or Balanced option.

With any super fund it is always important to keep in mind that the past performance is not necessarily a guarantee of continued returns.

Comparing various companies who offer superannuation investment services will give you a greater idea of the types of funds to look for.
