I have Fibre provided by Opticomm. Currently Bigpond charges $93 for 25/5.
is there a less expensive ISP over Opticomm. I see SOUTHERN PHONE can do the same for $59/month. Can they deliver over Opticomm Fibre connection.
Hi David,
No, Southern Phone cannot deliver internet services over an Opticomm fibre connection because Southern Phone operates on the national NBN network, while Opticomm is a separate, competing fibre network. To use Southern Phone, you must select an NBN service. You can review some options for Opticomm plans here: https://www.finder.com.au/broadband-plans/what-is-opticomm. Hope this helps!

difference between broadband and NBN. I play games simple ones like hidden objects and of course lots of movie channels what internet should I choose?
Hi Sally-Ann,
Broadband is a general term for a high-speed internet connection, while NBN (National Broadband Network) is a specific type of broadband infrastructure in Australia. It is distinct from wireless broadband, which uses 4G or 5G mobile networks. You can see a range of options and see what speed is most suitable for your needs in this guide. Hope this helps!
