Top up your Velocity Points while you're ride sharing.

The bonus deal for Uber-loving frequent flyers is back. Coles is offering 2,000 bonus FlyBuys points for purchasers of Uber gift cards worth $50 or more this week.

The deal is listed in the current Coles catalogue, and applies to purchases from 4 July to 10 July 2018.

Coles quite regularly runs this kind of offer , and we last saw it pop up back in May. However, on that occasion it only applied to the $100 Uber card. This time, you only need to spend $50 to score the points.

Coles is also offering the same bonus points for Dymocks and Hoyts movie cards, but we're more excited about the possibilities with Uber.

THE POINTS FINDER TAKE

2,000 flybuys points is an appealing top-up if you're a regular Uber user.

As ever, Points Finder suggests converting flybuys points into Velocity Points, since you can get more value from them that way. 2,000 bonus flybuys points converts to 870 Velocity points for use on Virgin Australia. Note that you can also earn Qantas points for Uber trips, meaning your journey can earn both Qantas and Velocity points.

Remember, you can only score the bonus points once per flybuys household, so there's no value in stocking up on more than one card. For more on how flybuys works and how to earn more points through it, check out the detailed Points Finder guide.
