Other hacks to earn Flybuys points
Here are three other ways you can earn more Flybuys points as you spend.
Use a rewards credit card
Coles has a range of credit cards that offer Flybuys points for every $1 spent on the account. The Coles No Annual Fee Mastercard offers 0.5 points per $1 spent (or 1 point per $2 spent), while the Coles Rewards Mastercard earns 2 points per $1 spent on eligible purchases up to $3,000 per statement period (1 point per $1 thereafter). These cards sometimes offer thousands of bonus points on sign up, so you should check out the specific card review for the latest promotions.
If you use one of these credit cards at a retail partner, you can earn points twice: once with your Flybuys card and once through the credit card. You can compare Coles credit cards on Finder for a full overview of the rewards, fees and features you can expect.
Transfer reward points
If you have a Citi Rewards or NAB Rewards credit card, you can exchange your reward points for Flybuys points. With a NAB Rewards Platinum or Signature card, a minimum of 3,000 NAB Rewards points is equal to 3,000 Flybuys points.
With Citi Rewards cards, you must transfer a minimum of 2,000 Citi reward Points, with the following transfer rates for each eligible card.
- Citi Premier card (existing customers only). 1 Citi reward Point = 1 Flybuys point.
- Citi Rewards card. 1.33 Citi reward Points = 1 Flybuys point.
- Citi Classic and Citi Gold cards (existing customers only). 2 Citi reward Points = 1 Flybuys point.
Look for bonus points deals
Flybuys and its partners regularly run bonus points promotions. Depending on the offer, you may be able to earn more points per $1 spent with a partnered retailer. You can see the latest bonus points offers when you log into your Flybuys account.
