I just tried to consolidate my debt at a branch. I receive a salary continuance from OnePath and on occasion they don’t get it in my account by the time my personal loan repayment is due. Hence my once perfect credit rating has been demolished. Is there a way that I this can be rectify so that I may consolidate rather than declare bankruptcy?

      Hi Cheryl,

Thanks for reaching out to Finder.

Our review on debt consolidation misconceptions discusses advantages, effects etc of debt consolidation and it’s difference between bankruptcy.

Part of the information found on your credit report would be details of any overdue debts you might have, payments you’ve missed on loans and utility bills, and bankruptcies.

If you believe that there might have been errors in declaring missed payments or such, you can call your creditor and see if this can be corrected. Lastly, you may refer to our guide on how you can deal with mistakes on your credit file.

      Cheers,
      Joanne

      Hi Cheryl,

Thanks for reaching out to Finder.

If your debt consolidation loan provider is ANZ, you may reach out to them to move your repayment due date. If you haven’t proceeded to debt consolidation you may refer to the lender listed on our personal loans for debt consolidation page to compare your options. Our comparison table will help narrow down your options.

Please click the name of the lender or the “More info” link to be redirected to our review page and learn more about the lender’s loan offer, rates, and requirements as well as the pros and cons of using their loan service. When you are ready, you may then click on the “Go to site” button and you will be redirected to the lender’s website where you can proceed with the application or get in touch with their representatives for further inquiries you may have.

Before applying, please ensure that you meet all the eligibility criteria and read through the details of the needed requirements as well as the relevant Product Disclosure Statements/Terms and Conditions when comparing your options before making a decision on whether it is right for you. You can also contact the provider if you have specific questions.

      Best regards,
      Rench

      Hi Vera,

      Thank you for your question!

While I can’t tell you exactly whether you will be approved or not, the best thing you can do is check the eligibility requirements of your chosen loan product.

Thankfully, you can check providers who lend 1,000 AUD. Open that link and on that page, there are lenders listed on our comparison table. Compare them based on various details. Once you’re done, select the “Go to Site” button to be redirected safely to your chosen lender’s website.

Please make sure that you have read the relevant T&Cs or PDS of the loan products before making a decision. Moreover, check the eligibility requirements as well and consider whether the product is right for you.

Also if you can, contact first the lender and discuss your options and chances of approval before you send anything final for your application.

I hope this helps. Should you have further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out again.

      Have a wonderful day!

      Cheers,
      May

Are Centrelink Disability Pensions and other Centrelink payments included in the income criteria?
Or is it just income from paid employment?
    Thanks

      Hi Jan,

ANZ considers Centrelink applicants for personal loans, but you need to earn at least $15,000 p.a. If you don’t meet this requirement, you can check other Centrelink loans featured on our website.

      Hope this helps,

      Elizabeth

      Hi Victor,

This loan is available as a joint application personal loan, but not as a “guarantor” personal loan. You can learn how guarantor personal loans work and compare your options.

Please ensure to read through the relevant product disclosure statement and terms and conditions of the loan to ensure that you got everything covered before you apply.

      I hope this helps.

      Thanks,
      Elizabeth

      Hi Heather,

      Thanks for your question.

The eligibility criteria for an ANZ personal loan is that you currently reside in Australia and receive a regular income, so if you can satisfy this criteria (as well as any other set by ANZ) then you should be able to apply.

      I hope this has helped.

      Thanks,

      Elizabeth
