Have BWP Trust's shares ever split?
BWP Trust's shares were split on a 1.0355:1 basis on 10 May 2009. So if you had owned 1 share the day before the split, the next day you would own 1.0355 shares. This wouldn't directly have changed the overall worth of your BWP Trust shares – just the quantity. However, indirectly, the new 3.4% lower share price could have impacted the market appetite for BWP Trust shares which in turn could have impacted BWP Trust's share price.
BWP Trust share price volatility
Over the last 12 months, BWP Trust's shares have ranged in value from as little as $3.077 up to $3.6921. A popular way to gauge a stock's volatility is its "beta".
Beta measures a share's volatility in relation to the market. The market (AU average) beta is 1, while BWP Trust's is 0.583. This would suggest that BWP Trust's shares are less volatile than average (for this exchange).
