Why are so many providers raising their NBN prices?
NBN Co is increasing wholesale prices by around $2 to $4 a month from 1 July.
These are the fees providers pay to access the NBN network, and many are passing the higher costs on to customers.
So, what can I do now?
Most NBN plans have no lock-in contract, so if your provider is raising prices, switching is usually straightforward, though it's worth checking whether any notice is required to cancel.
And while you might be asking, "if everyone's putting prices up, what's the point?", there's still plenty of differences in discounts and ongoing costs.
