Hi Mark, based on the providers in our database and to the best of our knowledge, Launtel is likely the only provider that lets you pause your service while you’re away. If its plans are outside your budget, another option is to cancel your plan before you travel and then sign up again when you return sine you will already have the modem and will only need to sign up to a plan online which can happen from wherever. Hi Rona! I fully appreciate the speeds can be confusing. It sounds like you’re on an NBN 50 plan with Belong and possibly overpaying based on your usage. An NBN 25 plan might be a better option. Some cheap plans in our database include Southern Phone NBN Basic ($45 a month for the first 12 months, then $59 a month ongoing), Flip ($39 a month for the first 4 months, then $59.90 a month ongoing), Moose NBN Value ($46.80 a month for the first 6 months, then $60.80 a month ongoing). I want to know do internet plans supply modem and are you charged monthly for modem or are they free
Hi Leonard, if you don’t have a modem, you’ll need to buy one from the provider. However, some providers offer a modem for $0 when you stay connected for a certain period, usually 12 to 24 months. These include Optus, Southern Phone, iiNet, and Telstra. Dodo also lets you spread the cost of the modem over 12 months. It costs $99.99.
