What is the best plan for seniors?
Hi Merry, the best plan really depends on what you need the internet for, as speed can affect the price. For many seniors, an NBN 25 plan is often a good choice. You can compare affordable NBN plans here: https://www.finder.com.au/broadband-plans/nbn/cheap-nbn-plans.
For context, Flip and Aussie Broadband offer senior discounts, but sometimes plans without a seniors discount can actually give you better value so it can pay to compare. Hope this helps!
Hi team, can you add some more transparency to the finder score.
I’m curious to understand how the finder score keeps changing for the same provider offer. I was about to purchase a plan for 500/50 that was rated as 10 last month but realised i had to give notice to my provider and now the same plan is listed as low 9s. What influenced the change?
Hi George, it’s great to hear you’re using Finder Score to find a good deal. To answer your question, the Finder Score can change for two reasons: 1) when the offer itself changes (which you mentioned hasn’t happened), or 2) if new NBN 500 plans or offers are added, as the score is calculated by comparing the plan you’re considering against all available offers in that speed category. So in short, the score might drop lower, if another brand’s offer is more compelling. Hope this helps and feel free to reach out again if you have anymore questions :)
which is best home wifi?

I have just relocated from Bargara, QLD. to Peregian Beach. Will the NBN modem of 4 years (old) be still good to use if I resign with Optus?
Hi Mark,
Your 4-year-old Optus NBN modem might work if your new Peregian Beach address has the exact same NBN connection type (e.g., FTTP, FTTN) as Bargara. But, it’s best to check with Optus, as they may provide a new modem for free with a new plan. Also, the old one could be slow or incompatible with newer Wi-Fi standards like WiFi 6, so getting a newer router from Optus is usually the best bet for better speed and reliability. Hope this helps!
I had nbn at my place before subdividing and now because I am 28 A instead of 28 nbn can’t find either addresses please help
Hi Soula,
If your address doesn’t appear, contact your phone and internet provider; they will contact NBN directly to assist with resolving the issue. As part of the process, your provider may request the coordinates of the property you wish to connect, and proof that the property is occupied. Best of luck!
