nabtrade share trading

nabtrade online trading platform

Give your portfolio a boost with nabtrade.

Share trading is about recognising opportunities and one such opportunity is offered by NAB with their online share platform, nabtrade. If you've got a bulging stock portfolio or are just looking to get started in the investment game, nabtrade makes it easy to trade shares and keep track of the market.

Pros and cons of nabtrade

Pros

  • You can easily track your account and shares online or through the app
  • The tiered service levels means you only pay for the service you want
  • The free online trades plus a share trading research package can help you when you start trading

Cons

  • After the complimentary three month period of Silver service level expires you either have to decrease your amount of trading to meet the Bronze level limits or pay $9.95 a month for limited extras with the Gold service level

How does nabtrade work?

nabtrade allows you to manage your share trading activities through your mobile device or via the nabtrade website. You can trade as an individual, as part of a joint account, on behalf of a company or organisation or on behalf of a trust, which includes Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSFs). You then trade using your trading account from money in your Cash account, both of which are linked.

NAB also lets you set up and link a high interest savings account which enables you to automatically transfer funds to your cash account. Using the platform you can research stocks, track market movements and buy and sell shares. If you elect to, dividends can be paid directly into your cash account.

Service levels

When you sign up to nabtrade you will receive three months complimentary access to a Silver service level account. This account lets you track live data, access market depth and standard charting, as well ten free Alert Credits per month. After three months you can continue a certain level of trading with the Bronze service level, or you can pay $9.95 a month to receive Gold level access. There are also Platinum and Platinum +IRESS service levels which have higher monthly fees but increased access to data and tracking.

The tiered service levels offered by nabtrade means that you only pay for what you use, so if you trade minimally you may be entitled to trade at the Bronze level which has no charge.

What is the complete schedule of charges and how much trading can I do on the bronze level with no additional fees. I’m surprised that this information isn’t totally “in my face” as I’m sure that everybody considering Nabtrade ought know

      Hi Bob,

      Thanks for your enquiry.

You can read our complete review for the nabtrade online trading platform on this page where it details the costs and features of each service level.

As you’ll see with the bronze level, you can access live market data, stock quotes, standard charting, 10 additional complimentary alert credits each month, and more.

If you’d like further information regarding charges for this platform, you can view the ‘pricing’ section on the nabtrade website.

      Thanks,
      Belinda
