  EBM landlord insurance policies are suitable for the following people:

  • Landlords who own a home in Australia used for residential purposes that they rent out to tenants under a lease agreement (contents insurance is suitable for landlords that also have contents that will be used by tenants).
  • Landlords who want financial protection for loss or damage to their property (including contents for those who have furnished properties).
  • RentCover ShortTerm is suitable for properties rented out for less than six months at a time, including holiday homes, Airbnb accommodation and serviced apartments.

• How do I make a claim with EBM landlord insurance?

  To make an EBM landlord insurance claim, follow these steps:

  • Contact the EBM RentCover claims team to let them know what's happened. They can help you with the next steps to take.
  • Take notes and pictures of what happened. This is so that they can see and understand exactly what's happened. Note down the brand, model and serial number of the damage items if possible.
  • Stay safe and prevent further damage. Try and stop further damage from occurring, but only if it's safe to do so.
  • You may need to get quotes for repairs. EBM will let you know if you need to do this. A repairer may also need to fill out a report of the damage.
  • Keep your receipts. So you can get reimbursed for the expenses.
  • Submit a claim. You can download a claim form from EBM's website or use its online claims portal to submit your claim. You should hear back within a day.
