EBM landlord insurance is good if you want an insurer that comes with lots of options, including short-term rental cover that can be tailored to your property and your needs. However, it doesn't offer additional add-ons, unlike the majority of insurers.

What does EBM landlord insurance cover?
EBM offers two main landlord insurance options: RentCover Ultra and RentCover Platinum. You can also get Householders Rental cover and RentCover ShortTerm which is designed for properties rented out for less than six months at a time, including holiday homes, Airbnb accommodation and serviced apartments. Here are some of the main inclusions that EBM can cover you for when an insured event occurs and you need to make a claim.
- Change of locks following a bailiff eviction
- Death of a tenant
- Denial of access
- Drug lab clean-up
- Fire damage to building
- Fire damage to contents

Exclusions
EBM's general exclusions are similar to other insurers. You won't be covered for loss or damage related:
- Actions of the seas
- Faulty design, materials or workmanship
- Wear and tear
- Illegal activity
- Felling or lopping trees at the site
- Intentional damage
