At Finder, our goal is to provide you with as full a comparison as possible across all the products we list on our website.
In the case of Money Transfers, wherever possible, the exchange rates we display on our website come directly from the service provider.
In the case of Westpac, Commonwealth Bank, ANZ and PayPal, the exchange rates are gathered instead from the banks’ websites.
We use the live exchange rates provided by Westpac, Commonwealth Bank, ANZ and PayPal on their websites to calculate the margin they charge on the top of the exchange rate. (See our guide to mid-market currency rates for an explanation of international money transfer exchange rate margins). The transfer margin is calculated using the difference between the exchange rates listed on their websites, which are updated daily around 9am every morning, and the live interbank exchange rate at the time of calculation.
Our aim is to give you the clearest picture possible of how much money your recipient will receive from your transfer. Due to the volatile nature of exchange rates, the rate listed on Finder may vary from the actual exchange rate quoted for your transfers from these providers. To see how their money transfer services stack up, visit our reviews of Westpac, CommBank, ANZ and PayPal or compare their exchange rates against other providers' rates below.
The "Rate" and "Amount Received" displayed are indicative rates that have been supplied by each brand or gathered by Finder.
Exchange rates are volatile and change often. As a result, the exchange rate listed on Finder may vary to the actual exchange rate quoted for the brand. Please confirm the actual exchange rate and mention "Finder" before you commit to a brand.
